What do you do when it's freezing outside? HANDWRITING of course!
Today Kindergarten and Year 1/2 completed their THRASS overwrite chart handwriting sequence. Students listen to a set of instructions to help them form their letters correctly. This is essential in the writing process, so students can read their writing (and others). Once students, are able to form their letters correctly, it makes the process or reading and writing much easier.
Students LISTEN to the instructions, they TRACE the letters, they SAY the instruction for each letter for example 'a' 'down, around, up, down'. Students are using most of their senses to complete handwriting.
